Prior to that, he was global director for audience targeting within Kantar Media Audiences with overall responsibility for the ongoing development and management of Kantar Media RPD services.
Lorraine Capel

Lorraine is a keen innovator who has led many initiatives that fueled clients' business growth. In October 2016, she took up the role of CEO to lead Carat Malaysia, overseeing its overall operations and driving strategic planning and management for the agency.

Prior to Carat, Lorraine was the head of integration at Astro, prior to which she spent 11 years in GroupM Malaysia where she took on several senior roles including that of managing director of Maxus Malaysia. Lorraine has also worked for Starcom Mediavest, leading the Proctor & Gamble agency of record business.
Chanchal Chakrabarti

Chanchal Chakrabarti started his career as a media planner with DY&R and went on to gain diverse media experience working with Grey and JWT on FMCG clients such as GSK and Nestle. In 1999, Chanchal moved to Jordan to set up an independent media division for Promo7 network.

Three years later he moved to Malaysia as a GM at Mindshare, leading the Unilever business and in 2008, Chanchal was promoted to CEO of MindShare Malaysia. He moved back to India soon after to lead a client leadership team for Mindshare South Asia, was part of the Mindshare South Asia exco team and was also charged with running GroupM operations for Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Just prior to taking up his current assignment, Chanchal was stationed in Singapore to set up the P&G Asean AoR@Mediacom.
Grace Chan

Grace Chan has over 18 years of international marketing experience spanning various industries including telecommunications, aviation and consumer goods. Currently at Celcom Axiata Berhad, she heads the Brand Marketing department. Prior to joining Celcom Axiata, Grace was Global Head of Brand for Malaysia Airlines responsible for their Brand Communications portfolio worldwide.

Before that, she spent six years at Axiata Group Berhad as the Head of Brand and Corporate Responsibility where she was responsible for the rebrand of Telekom Malaysia International (TMI) to Axiata and the subsequent rebranding of the Group’s subsidiaries in major growth markets such as Bangladesh and Cambodia. Whilst at Axiata, she also established the Axiata Foundation and Axiata Young Talent Programme. Grace now leads a team of marketeers, digital, creative and media talent internally and across major international agencies in driving brand and marketing excellence for Celcom.
Ben Chew

Ben joined the Isobar Network in 2014 as managing director for its Malaysia operations. Prior to that, he spent ten years at McCann Kuala Lumpur, serving as its GM for three years before his exit. He has had the good fortune of working with the best leaders in advertising and putting his exposure to good use at Isobar today. In a rapidly evolving marketplace, steering his experience and love for the business into the digital frontier was simply a natural progression. Stan Chew

As the general manager of Performics, Stan Chew currently manages teams of specialists within the Publicis One media group for Malaysia. His responsibilities include fostering new client relationships, ensuring quality of product and people, driving growth and defining a long-term growth strategy for the agency.

Placed in a unique intersection of content, social, performance marketing, research & analytics, his core motivation today is to integrate and create stronger synergies within the teams. He is a seasoned media professional with 12 years of media experience across Malaysia and China. He was a strategic planning director at Starcom Malaysia before taking on the role of executive director of the agency. He is also Publicis One’s South East Asia business development integrator.

Richard Hall

Richard Hall is the Managing Director of Nielsen Malaysia, where he oversees the business of media (watch) and retail consumption (buy) patterns. Richard’s career began back in the UK where he worked on the agency side and subsequently progressed to the client side with one of UK’s leading retailers, Sainsbury.

In 2000, he moved to Asia Pacific and has enjoyed time in Hong Kong, Sydney, Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur. During his term in Asia, Richard held both country and regional leadership roles stretching across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Pacific. He is a veteran of the research world, having worked extensively across both agency and client sides during his 20 plus years experience in the industry.
Niall Hogan

Niall joined Integral Ad Science in 2013 to lead the rapidly growing UK and European team. He grew the team from a single employee to over 65. Since the start of 2017, he has been based in Singapore, responsible for Southeast Asia, and is focused on new business, employee recruitment, and on-going client engagement. Niall has over 17 years of experience in nurturing digital and technology businesses.

Prior to joining Integral Ad Science, Niall was an instrumental member of the Tribal Fusion UK management team after joining the company as their second employee in 2008. Niall has also held the digital sales director role at EMAP Interactive (Bauer Advertising), and was responsible for launching the first digital sales team at Hearst Digital in 2007.
Javed Jafri

Javed Jafri is passionate about pioneering the future of digital and traditional media transformation through continuous consumer immersions, re-defining consumer journeys and creating media strategies. He is constantly exploring new platforms with which to reach urban and rural consumers. He has spent two years in this role and has been responsible for spearheading media agenda for the cluster, reporting to country heads and cluster director.

Prior to this, he spent five years in a similar capacity at Unilever Pakistan. He was a part of the pre-launch team at Telenor Pakistan where he spent six years and reached the post of strategic media manager. He started his career with Tapal Tea in Pakistan as marketing services manager.
David Jeffs

David joined Omnicom Media Group (OMG) in November 2016 to lead the Marketing Sciences function across the region, focussing on Global Accounts. With more than 20 years of experience in data and analytics, he has a passion for deriving data lead insights to inform marketers on campaign effectiveness and identification of areas for improving ROI.

Prior to joining OMG, David spent over 5 years leading the Insights function at Yahoo, where he worked with the leadership, sales and marketing functions in Asia Pacific to provide insights into how consumers in Asia are using the Internet in Asia. Jeff was also responsible for helping advertisers with their media decision-making through delivering quantitative insights into the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns.

David has spoken at a number of industry conferences on how Internet consumption is changing in Asia’s emerging markets and the potential it holds for marketers. He was previously head of the Research and Insights steering committee for the IAB in Singapore.
Robin Bach Kolling

Robin Bach Kolling, a seasoned media agency executive is passionate about real time data driven digital marketing and has led several digital leadership positions in media agencies across GroupM, IPG Mediabrands, and independent agencies in Malaysia and the Netherlands in the past 10 years.

Robin is currently the head of [m]PLATFORM in GroupM Malaysia, which combines data, technology and expertise to enable audience addressability and accountability across all digital media. He is also a council member of the Malaysian Digital Association (MDA) where he is responsible for the Knowledge Advisory, looking at empowering digital thought leadership in the Malaysian media landscape across publishers, advertisers and agencies by organizing digital conferences, workshops and hands-on training for upcoming digital talents.

Girish Menon

Girish Menon is in his 24th year with WPP, having worked with the group in Chennai, Bangalore, Ho Chi Minh City and now Kuala Lumpur as the CEO of GroupM Malaysia. With a degree in electronics engineering and an MBA in marketing, Girish was drawn to the advertising industry, sensing that it represented the ultimate meeting point of art and science.

Given GroupM’s size, he has been fortunate to work with advertisers spanning virtually all categories. He is currently focused on developing data analytics, content production, technology solutions and programmatic services to address advertisers’ changing marketing needs. Girish was also President of the Media Specialist Association (MSA) in Malaysia from 2013-16.
Manu Menon
Managing Director
Manu Menon has more than 20 years of experience in areas of strategic planning, sales, marketing and business development, the bulk of which he spent in the information technology and telecommunications sectors. Eight years ago he moved into the digital marketing sector and is currently the managing director of Ansible at IPG Mediabrands Malaysia.

Prior to this, he headed a full-service regional digital agency, Upfront Malaysia. In his time there, he had tripled the staff strength and secured a few major accounts like Malaysia Airlines and Tenaga Nasional Berhad. Before heading Upfront Malaysia, he was handling business development and strategic planning in APAC for a Swedish mobile advertising company.
Eileen Ooi
PHD Malaysia
Eileen started her advertising journey in 2004 with Starcom Mediavest working on Procter & Gamble business. She quickly moved on to take a regional role in 2007 in Singapore on P&G. Her passion to nurture local Malaysian talent brought her back to Malaysia, where she worked on Malaysia Airlines with Mindshare.

She quickly rose to lead one of the largest and profitable team in Mindshare, whilst playing the role of head of strategy. She joined Carat Malaysia in 2013 as its strategy director, and increased the agency’s award win ratio while publishing their first Consumer Trends study with Brand Leadership Magazine. In 2014, Eileen joined Maxus as general manager, strategy & platforms and within two years took the top leadership position at PHD.
Bala Pomaleh

Bala Pomaleh was appointed CEO of IPG Mediabrands in Malaysia in July 2017. Bala has been in the advertising industry since 1991, starting his career as a media research assistant and rising up the media ranks. Bala’s focus within IPG Mediabrands Malaysia is on driving business performance and results as well as improving internal capabilities. He places a strong emphasis on investments in future spaces – technology, analytics, automation and consulting – all of which drive the agency forward towards creating solutions that help advance clients’ business objectives.

Bala has left a legacy at his previous appointments, having led Posterscope Malaysia as managing director (later CEO) to become the leading Out of Home Specialist in Malaysia within two years from their launch in 2007; and as CEO at Carat Malaysia leading his teams to win 4 Agency of The Year titles within 12 months in 2015.
Dheeraj Raina

In a career spanning more than a decade, Dheeraj has built his expertise in a variety of roles and industries, mostly in companies where he was not just a marketer but also a problem solver, storyteller, technology whiz, brand specialist and a marketing thought leader. Dheeraj started his career with L.G Electronics, India, and has worked with content production company STPL and with Mindshare India as a senior director strategy for its Mumbai office.

In his current role as a general manager and head of strategy for Mindshare Malaysia, Dheeraj is part of the senior management of the agency. Dheeraj has led successful new business pitch wins for Mindshare Malaysia on some of the biggest accounts in the country- Digi, Pizza Hut and Malaysia Airlines As part of his passion for innovation, Dheeraj has also invented the proprietary dynamic marketing frameworks for telecom and aviation category and is an Exco leader on data & technology for GroupM Malaysia.
Arshan Saha

In his role as APAC president for Xaxis, Arshan is responsible for the agency’s strategy, operations, and growth.These include client development, trading and partnerships, to providing the best programmatic media solutions across the region. Prior to his current role, Arshan was the vice president of Xaxis South and Southeast Asia. Through his enthusiastic and tireless effort, he established offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, and India. As one of the founding members of Xaxis in Asia Pacific, he has since built the region’s business with full charge of all nine markets’ P&Ls.

Arshan started his career with Adconion Media Group in London. He later joined Innity Corp, where he played a critical role in establishing the company as the leading media network in SEA. He was voted into the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) South East Asia Leadership Council in 2012, making him the youngest council leader in the IAB.
Sheila Shanmugam

Sheila brings 18 years of experience in marketing and media. Her work experience spans across multiple industries namely aviation, banking, automotive, media & entertainment, luxury apparels, FMCG and Telco . Sheila loves working across multiple businesses which gives the breadth of experience of many Industries. The constant evolution in these Industries and the continuous challenges that comes with it drives her to deliver the best solutions which has real commercial value to Client’s businesses.

The past 6 years have been the most challenging and fulfilling times for Sheila where she launched m/Six in Malaysia with a base billing of RM1M and raised it to multiple folds. This achievement is attributed to mainly two things – a talented, passionate team and confidence from the local MNC business community, namely WEBE Telekom, Malaysia Airlines, Proton Holdings to name a few.

Atifa Silk has been covering the region’s marketing communications industry for 11 years, having joined Haymarket in 2000 as assistant editor on Media magazine. She became editor in 2006. In January 2011, she took on the role of editorial director for Haymarket’s Brand Media division, which includes Campaign Asia-Pacific and CEI, the region’s leading MICE magazine.

Atifa oversees content for all of Campaign’s print and digital products, as well as face-to-face events in the region.

Lina founded Red Communications in 1999, a leading Production Company dedicated to creating, producing and delivering television and films to a world wide audience with a targeted focus on the Asian demographic. Angelina Villanueva

Angelina began her career in CRM with OgilvyOne Singapore and spent the next 18 years within the Ogilvy group – running the FMCG Business Unit in Ogilvy Malaysia, and later pioneering their Group Talent Unit before returning to the frontline as GM of Ogilvy Advertising.

She was lured away from the Advertising industry in 2011 to take on new challenges. Spending 4 years with The Star Media Group to support its transformation plan; and now in her current role marketing Malaysia’s #1 Fast-food brand – KFC.
Andreas Vogiatzakis

Born and raised in rural Crete, Andreas quit the prestigious Mathematics University of Athens to pursue his passion for advertising at the University of Florida, graduating with high honors. He kick-started his career at DMB&B NY and JWT Greece, before setting sail for Asia.

In 1997 he launched MediaVest Japan, later merging it with Starcom. In 2003 he moved to Taiwan as the CEO of the Mindshare Group, cementing it to be the undisputed local market leader. In October 2006 he relocated to Malaysia, leading the Omnicom Media Group and transforming it to be an award winning formidable force.

On August 2016, he assumed the CEO post of the newly launched Havas Media Group Malaysia, tasked to build the group’s media operations in the country.
Piyee Wong

Of the 20 years she has spent amassing media and brand marketing experience, Pi Yee Wong has spent 15 with the Publicis Group. In her current role as head of media for Publicis One Malaysia, she presents an integrated approach towards the media, interactive, analog and digital universes to leverage scale and technological innovation for advertisers.

During her stint as the general manager of MediaVest Worldwide for Malaysia, she was instrumental in retaining and managing several key clients including Media Prima, Acer, Hong Leong Bank and Pemandu. She was soon promoted to the role of managing director for both MediaVest and Optimedia Malaysia as well as Performics. She has worked with clients across industries such as FMCG (Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, Sara Lee, Nestle, Dutch Lady), Healthcare (Mead Johnson, Abbott), Sanofi Aventis, Media (Media Prima TV Network) and Petroleum (Petronas).
Jean-Michel Wu

Jean-Michel Wu is the APAC CEO of Grace Blue Partnership, comprising Grace Blue Worldwide, a global executive search agency specializing in the advertising, marketing and communications sectors, and Liberty Blue Worldwide, that successfully places future leaders of the communications industry. Previously Jean-Michel was with McCann Worldgroup as chief talent officer for APAC for over two years, and WPP, for over 11.

At McCann Worldgroup, Jean-Michel built a regional team that rolled out a successful suite of talent related projects and was responsible for hiring the senior management across Asia-Pacific in 2015 and 2016. Whilst Jean-Michel was managing the WPP regional team, it was the inaugural winner of the Cannes Lion “Group holding company of the year award”. He has 20 years of talent acquisition experience across the Asia Pacific region, especially Greater China.
Chee Weng Yap

Chee Weng is the chief executive officer of Dentsu Media Malaysia - a position he has held since he brought Dentsu Media into Malaysia in 2012. Within four short years, he has led the agency to becoming the fastest growing media agency in the country. Chee Weng is also the current president of Media Specialists Association (MSA) and the chairman of Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) in Malaysia. He has 26 years of media experience in diverse disciplines from media management, out-of-home media (OOH) to digital communications.

Previously, Chee Weng was the CEO of Starcom MediaVest Group’s operations in Malaysia, where he propelled the group from position No. 4 to No. 2 within five years. Concurrently during the same period, Chee Weng served as a media strategist and adviser to Media Prima Group, the largest independent media conglomerate in Malaysia.
